It's hard to believe we are already in October! The cool fall weather is slowly creeping in and our teachers and students are in the full swing of things. We have a busy week on the Ranch.
Below are reminders of special events we are looking forward to:
Our Week on the Ranch
Wednesday, October 3rd - Meet the Kona Ice truck behind the school and support our fifth graders on their camp endeavor.
Thursday, October 4th -
- Dress up and say "cheese" - It's picture day on the Ranch!
- Wear you picture finest to dine out at Chili's and let your waiter know you are a North Ridge Longhorn to have a percentage of your meal donated to NRE and support our fifth graders as they raise money for their Camp Grady Spruce trip scheduled in April 2013.
Friday, October 5th and Monday, October 8th - (Student holiday) - Our little Longhorns leave the ranch for an extended weekend of play, rest and relaxation with mom and dad longhorns.
Ranch Hands (our NRE staff) remain on the Ranch to learn all they can about herding up those little Longhorns and teaching them the ways of the Ranch.
Thursday, October 11th (2 Sessions: 3:30 or 6:30) in our NRE Cafeteria- North Richland Hills Community Planning and Information Gathering Session - Come and Play with us!
Do you play at Adventure World Park? If so, you will want to attend this planning session with your child/children to give input into renovations for the park. We are delighted that the City of North Richland Hills wants to gather input from the people who most frequently use the park - our parents and their children. The city has plans to completely renovate the park, using YOUR ideas to create a universally accessible playground that meets the needs of all children. Children will have opportunities to draw pictures of their vision for a perfect playground. This input will be considered as the City builds a new park for our childrens' enjoyment. Bring your imagination and come play with us!
Thank You to Mr. Marton for giving our teachers the gift of relaxation!
Our wonderful parent and Watch Dog, Mr. Marton, donated a masseuse for a day for our teachers.
We truly appreciate your act of kindness Mr. Marton!
We Love our NRE Workroom Volunteers!
Our staff is making every effort to make sure our volunteers feel welcomed and appreciated!
Our grade levels "YEE HAW" our great workroom volunteers each six weeks with a hat filled with muffins, cookies and other sweet treats, to let them know how much we appreciate their committment to us. Thank you so much! We hope all of our volunteers know how very much we love and appreciate all that you do for us and our little Longhorns! We couldn't do all we do without your volunteerism and partnership!
Until the next blog, "Yee Haw" and saddle up to ride into the sunset for your long weekend with your little Longhorns! Wishing you a safe, relaxing, meaningful time with family and friends!
